Not sure if anyone has ever heard of the band, but they are definitely fit for this forum.
It's a band out of Europe (which would explain if no one has ever heard of them) called Nightwish. If you'd like an accurate description of the type of music they do (and not actually hear their masterpieces), just try to imagine what Lacuna Coil would sound like if Apocalyptica were backing them up.
I dunno what anyone's downloading ethics are (personally, if I like the songs enough, I'll buy the album), but Amazon has the majority of their albums for a reasonable $13.99 and a few songs to give you a feel for the band would probably be "The Siren" or "Dark Chest of Wonders" from their newest album (circa October 5, 2004) "Once".
Thought I'd share the wealth. Any other bands out there based in Europe that you like but haven't really reached mainstream in the Americas?
My name is Jerad Bailey and I'm an avid fan of both rock (Metallica, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and some of the newer groups as well) and classical music. Hopefully I'll be able to make some new friends and learn some new things here.
Hey Emily here! Okay...So as you may notice, I'm having some layout issues...I'm workin' on that and I'll probably have that done tomorrow night...I might actually make a new one (Ooooo spiffyyyyyy)
Thanks for your patience dudes :)
Hey guys! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack! I thought y'all would enjoy this. Last October, my friend and I were into writing Evanescence band parodies. This one is entitles "Oboe" after the song "Hello." It talks about the pains every oboist feels when their reeds just suck.
Emerald reeds break, again,
That piece of crap split, again,
Has no one told you it's not playing, oboe
Let me see, I think it's only the reed, oboe
I tried a new reed, but yet
This one sounds worse, but yet
Don't try to fix it it's not broken, oboe,
It's supposed to sound like a duck died, don't cry
Suddenly I know it's not working! Oboe!
Oh god why!
It was working yesterday!
(Lyrics by Emily Monahan)
Tada! Hope you guys liked it! I have more parodies to come!
not really music related, but it works :)
What's your favorite pickup line ... doesn't have to be one you've used, but just your favorite?
Do you need an icecube...cause you're looking pretty hot.

If you need info on how to get your concert report, check local radio station websites. They've usually got something about concerts and stuff in that area. There's more stuff around here, I just haven't had a chance to look it up. If I knew where everyone was from, I could grab that stuff for you :)
Well this is my first post on the community, and the only real ochestrated "Rock" band I like it Murder By Death. If you like classical, and/or Indie/Emo. You rould love them. There amazing. They have a very talented Celloist, with an amazing pianist, and everything else a regular Emo/Idie band would have. Very interesting to listen to.
